One of the best amusement parks for the 3 to 10 set (anything older than that might be too tame depending on your kid). Keep in mind that if you take kids younger than 3, that you will be limited as Legoland is very strict about their height requirement. They will measure your kid before allowing they on, so double-check using the poles at the entrance to every ride queue.
This place is so much fun for families. I love that it isn’t as commercial as Disney and nowhere near as expensive or crowded. However, it does get more crowded on the weekends and during school holidays. Besides, who doesn’t just love Legos! Given how much a single day ticket is, it may be worth your money to go for the resort membership if you think you will visit more than a couple of days.
Legoland is located in Carlsbad which is north of San Diego proper on the I-5.

I am posting that there are a couple deals going on right now with Legoland for anyone that might be interested.
There is a coupon code I saw on retailmenot for a McDonalds, but 1 adult, get 1 child free. Code: mcdonalds1109063. Just checked on retailmenot, and this is a good code. Not sure how long this deal will last.
Legoland is offering a buy 3 memberships and get 1 child membership for free on their website. Again, I have no idea how long this deal will be offered.
