Life at Warp Speed

life, faith, food, parenting, homeschooling and just about anything else that is on my mind

About August 15, 2011

I am an ABC (SF Bay Area native) transplanted to San Diego. I love to eat good food (key distinction from love to eat period), reading, finding great deals, and spending time with friends and family. I am passionate about my faith and am always floored by God’s faithfulness and providence in my life. I graduated from UC Berkeley in the former century. I have a really awesome husband (also a Cal Bear) that toils away literally daily in for a top software giant. I am a homeschooling stay at home mom to my 4 year old son. In my former life, I was a CPA that became a consultant to not-for-profit religious organizations (aka churches & charities). I still dabble in the business world alongside my husband in various things, but my primary calling right now is to run our household and nurture and educate our son (hopefully a future Cal Bear). I am also slightly obsessed with my iPad and am constantly testing apps for children as in I have tried out well over a thousand apps.

Hello, since you enjoy using your iPad to test apps for children, I wanted to recommend to you a series of apps my company makes called “iGo Chinese: Your First Chinese Friend”. There are 4 volumes and they are designed to introduce non-native Chinese speaking children aged 4-8 to the Chinese language and characters. Let me know if you are interested 🙂

  5. We want your apps listed on our link up – lots of parents look here for recommendations. Begins at 9am on May 25.

  6. I’m so glad I found your blog! I’m researching homeschool connections in San Diego. We are about to sail our boat down there to live in Chula Vista. Maybe I’ll get to meet you sometime after we arrive. Your blog is great! A lot of excellent resources and info here. Thanks! ~Beth
