Pokémon TV for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad on the iTunes App Store.

This is not a recommendation for Pokemon or to watch this show since there is plenty of educational entertainment for kids. This is just a fyi that this free app lets you watch Pokemon whenever you like as long as you have an internet connection. This is great for kids who love Pokemon. Hopefully, my son will remain blissfully unaware of Pokemon for the time being and just think that it is something his cousins like to play.

iBlast Moki 2 HD for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad on the iTunes App Store.

No time for an extensive review on this. My DH and son (age 4) really like playing this game together. iBlast Moki 2 is a physics style game a la Angry Birds but with bombs. Solve the puzzle to get to the next level. There are over 90 levels to play. This is a top game in the iTunes store and a winner of a number of awards. Grab it now while it is free! It is normally $2.99.

Recommended for ages 5 and up.

App Store – Marble Math Junior.

We are huge fans of Marble Math Junior by Artgig Studios ($1.99) over here at L@WS. It really makes it a lot of fun to practice math facts and mental math. It integrates a marble maze game with solving math problems. I really like that they will offer helps (hints) and also allow your child to replay the problem to solve it correctly. There are multiple levels of difficulty that you can set as your child masters various skills. This app is targeted for ages 5 to 8. My 3yo son can play this app when it is set to drag versus roll control of the marble so it is useful for younger children who are mastering basic math skills.

The game makes it fun with little animations and obstacles that your child can interact with as…
