Leo’s Pad Appisode 1 for iPad on the iTunes App Store.

Leo’s Pad is a fabulous iPad app for preschoolers developed by Kidaptiv, a start up featuring a group of Stanford education experts, award winning animation artists, and an Emmy winning creative director. This group has raised the bar with this appisode and this entry is on par with the high quality interactive apps that have been produced by Disney and Nickelodeon. This is definitely not just another storybook app.

You will absolutely love the high quality graphics and animation. The compelling story with seamlessly integrated exploratory activities that are intended to help build key preschool skills like¬†shapes, colors, number sense, drawing, letter identification, and puzzle solving. I like that you can track your child’s progress in the Parents only section.

This is a very intriguing offering in a planned series of apps that will be priced at $4.99. Appisode 1: Gally’s Birthday introduces Galileo and explores his dream of flying to the stars. Future apps will feature other child-friendly versions of key historical figures like Marie Curie. So, grab this amazing app while it is still free. Appisode 2: Rocket to the Stars will be released in January 2013.

Highly recommended for ages 3 to 5. Do not miss out on this one!
