App Store – Chasing Yello

Saving Yello for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation) and iPad on the iTunes App Store.

Chasing Yello is a sequel of sorts for the pretty fun physics style Saving Yello app. It is currently being offered for free download. Although you are immersed into Yello’s world, Chasing Yello is a very different sort of game play. It is an endless runner style game. Yello escapes Mathilda and finds temporary freedom. Help him navigate through the water, avoid obstacles, collect coins and escape being captured again by Mathilda. This game uses a tilt interface to play with swiping and sliding to avoid obstacles.

Saving Yello ($0.99) is a pretty fun game app in the ever popular Angry Bird genre. It is well worth the paid app price. I love the funny expressions that the creators used to animate Yello as you try to help him get back into his fish bowl. You can launch Yello multiple times as you navigate various obstacles to rescue this wayward goldfish. Great fun to play.

Recommended for ages 4 and up. Younger children will also enjoy playing both apps. However, they will find the tilt and swipe/slide play challenging to manage in Chasing Yello and the increasing difficulty of navigating the obstacles successfully in Saving Yello may frustrate younger players.
