The Best Daily Deals in San Francisco – Little Pim – $60 to Spend on Language-Learning Products.

Great deal from Living Social! $30 for $60 worth of products from Little Pim foreign language learning products at their online store. http://www.littlepim.com/ . This deal expires in 6 days.

M still loves watching Little Pim and his antics. We have the six DVD sets in both Chinese and French. This award winning series was created by Julia Pimsleur Levine (daughter of the creator of the very popular Pimsleur method of learning languages). I don’t depend on this series to actually teach M Chinese or French since a live speaker is a far better method, but I do use it to reinforce what I am already teaching him. Many of the foreign language products available right now are frequently made overseas and lack the style, sensibility, and production quality of children’s products developed in the West. (I have several other DVD sets purchased in the US and overseas.) Little Pim is a great choice in the latter group of products.

Highly recommended for children under 5.

$35 Junior Gym for 10 Open Play Sessions – limited time.

The Best Daily Deals in SF Peninsula – Junior Gym – Ten Open Gym Sessions and Registration.

Great Living Social deal! $35 for 10 Open Play sessions plus registration at the Junior Gym in San Mateo. This deal expires in six days.

If you have an active toddler or preschooler, this is a great way to burn off some of that energy and build their gross motor skills. M has always loved any of the open play sessions at any gym we have gone to. Even at 3 1/2, he just prefers to explore and experiment on his own terms.  Structured gym and sports classes are rather lost on him still. It is so much fun to let your little one go crazy climbing, bouncing and swinging. This place is great in that it offers two open gym sessions Monday through Friday and one on Sunday. Snuggle Truck App – Free January 10, 2012

Snuggle Truck HD for iPad on the iTunes App Store.

Snuggle Truck is a fun little app for the iPad and iPhone (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/snuggle-truck/id431637920?mt=8) that doesn’t involve any shooting or fighting. There are thousands of free levels of play (9K for iPad!) which as you know it pretty darn rare in the app world. You drive your jalopy of a truck filled with your stuffed animal passengers. Race as fast as you can and try not to lose any of your precious cargo to the finish line with the best time you can manage. Don’t forget to try to catch the fuzzies for extra points. You can even choose to make your own race course and add it for others to try out.

Highly recommended for children of any age and any adults looking for a non-violent fun game.
